Rome, Italy Day 2
Paris, France Trip
Beijing, China
Trip
Davao City,
Philippines Trip
My Aunt Susan and I left Toronto on October 4
and arrived in Rome the following day. From the airport, we took the
Leonardo Express train going to the
Central Station. One way fare was EUR 11 and we were advised to
buy round trip train ticket at the airport. The 1 way trip was about
45 minutes and the view was similar to the Philippines and Newark.
Similar to the Philippines because of the grass and trees; to Newark because
of the graffitis.
As soon as we arrived at the Central Station,
we only walked 2 blocks to our hotel,
Welcome Piram Hotel.
As soon as we got settled, we already started our tour with our first stop
at the Piazza
Della Repubblica and had a hearty lunch of Italian pizza which I never
had enough of. I found their pizza very tasty and never stopped eating
them for breakfast, lunch, snack and even dinner.
We walked to the
Trajan's Forum
(tower) and beside it was
Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II which also housed the Tomb of Unknown
Soldier. From there, we visited the world famous
Colosseum.
On our way back to the hotel, I bought
another batch of pizza and we passed by the
Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. Then I partied to chill with
best friend Jack after all the long flight and walking.
