I picked up May and Kristia Marte at Vancouver
airport on July 11 courtesy of Air Canada. The last time we saw each
other was when I left the Philippines on 2007.
As tourist guide, our first stop was at
Casino Rama on July 19.
Kristia was not allowed to enter because she did not bring any
identification that proved she was above 18 years old. Worse, she did
not even have $1 with her! If she got lost or if something happened,
she would have been a Ms. Jane Doe.
So, we just took pictures outside Casino
Rama. After some photo shots, we proceeded to downtown Toronto. Went
to Steam Whistle Beer Factory,
Rogers Centre and
CN Tower. Kristia was not
allowed to drink beer at Steam Whistle because again, she did not bring her
ID. She was just allowed to have her picture taken holding a glass of
beer.
May had a nerve wrecking experience when she
stepped on the
glass floor
