I left Toronto on October 11 and due to time zone, I arrived at Sydney on the 13th.  Total travel time was about 22 hours including a 2 hour stop at Vancouver.

Upon arrival at Sydney, I took the train from the airport to Central Business District (CBD).  It was the convenience of buying the Sydney Pass where I got unlimited city tour, round trip airport transfer via train, and unlimited travel along the coastline of Sydney.

I stayed at Macquarie Hotel which was just 1 block away from Museum Station.  The hotel was not a Holiday Inn but I got my own room and bathroom which were decent and clean enough.  There were a lot of backpacker's hotels but you'd be sleeping with one eye only!

As soon as I got settled in my hotel room, I took one of the Bondi Explorers (part of the Sydney Pass) and hopped on/hopped out along the coastline route.  Went to the famous Bondi Beach, which I did not know why they said it was world famous yet there were other beaches that were 3x better. Probably because of shark attacks and ladies who walked around topless!

After the scenic coastline tour, I had dinner with high school classmate Doris-Malabag-Hickman with her husband, Phil.  We took the 30 minute ferry ride (fare inclusive also in Sydney Pass) to Manly Point and had dinner at one of the boating clubs.

Had a great night view of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge at but as soon as the ferry docked in Circular Quay had to go back to the hotel and needed to be re-charged for the remainder of my Sydney trip.
