With a throbbing headache after the late night party with Jack, we had to proceed with the second day of more walking as scheduled.

From the hotel, our first stop was Piazza Quirinale (Quirinal Hill) where the Italian President resided.  From there we were able to see St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican which was our final destination of the day.

From the Presidential Palace, we went to Fontana de Trevi.  I was not really impressed by it but since it was one of the top tourist spots, we just had to go there.  To compensate for my disappointment, I had more pizza on our way to the Pantheon.

More walking towards Piazza Navona and more pictures.  By this time, our legs and feet were already swelling with blisters and we were relieved when we reached the Castel Sant'Angelo which was near the Vatican.

As soon as we reached the Vatican, I helped myself with the free flowing water which I thought was a privilege since it flowed at the center of Catholicism.  Aunt Susan was not allowed to enter Saint Peter's Basilica because she was wearing a strap blouse.  She had to buy a shawl to cover her shoulders.

Inside the basilica, I was awed and impressed with Michaelangelo's sculpture, Pieta (Madonna and Child).  I stared at it for about half an hour because the sculpture was vivid and alive.

The Vatican was our last stop and we bought Metro ticket for EUR 1 and took the subway back to Central Terminal.
