At Kalibo, Aklan for the 794th Ati-Atihan Festival.

January 14-15, 2006

More beach photos en route to Kalibo from Boracay.

At the 794th Ati-Atihan Festival with Mae Ferraris, our host Diana "Monette" Espaņol and her daughter Carmela.

The Ati-Atihan is comparable to the Mardi Gras of New Orleans, Louisiana.  People dance and get merry on the streets the whole day until the wee hours of the night.

At 2:00 pm, we went to the residence of Sam Butcher (who I personally met), founder and owner of Precious Moments figurines. He lives at Sampaguita Gardens at New Washington, Aklan.

Back to Ati-Atihan at 4:30 and met  with our friend Louie (5th photo)!

Well, we don't know if the name of Wonder Woman is Louie also!

For some moving pictures in MPG format. Click one or click all the film camera icon(s).  Best if you have broadband/DSL line.  If you have dial-up, expect to see the moving pictures next year!

After the street dancing, Monet invited us to the residence of her friend Andrew Magdael, to celebrate fiesta.  Mae and I do not know Andrew but heck, a lot of people there didn't know our host also!

Shown on the photo before the camera icon along this row, is Andrew and his parents.
